MR. JOHN ROY ROSSER

Mr. John Roy Rosser, of, Cedartown, passed away Wednesday evening October 24, 2012, in a Rome hospital. Mr. Rosser was born in Floyd County. A chef and restaurateur, Mr. Rosser was the former owner and operator of the Wayside Inn Garden Restaurant in Cedartown for a number of years and had served as assistant manager at Petro’s as well. A member of the Christian faith, Mr. Rosser was also a volunteer with the Bold and Beautiful Red Hatters of Cedartown.

Mr. Rosser is survived by one son, John Roy Rosser, Jr. of Macon; daughters, Mrs. Caren Rosser-Morris and her husband Daniel of Harrisburg, Pa., Mrs. Kristie Callahan and her husband Brett of Cave Spring, Mrs. Carla Terrazas of Anchorage, Alaska, Mrs. Julie Wylie and her husband Bruce of Calhoun and by his mother, Mrs. Lula B. Rosser of Cave Spring, sisters, Mrs. Barbara Wood and her husband Wendell of Tallapoosa, Mrs. Joan Patterson and her husband Tommy of Waco, Ga., Mrs. Sandra R. Kerr and her husband Ferrell of Cave Spring, and Mrs. Frances Freeman and her husband Greg of Cave Spring, seven grand-daughters and three grand-sons also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Rosser will be held Saturday morning, October 27, 2012, at 11:00 am at John House’s Cave Spring Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Emmett Long officiating. Interment will follow in the Rehoboth Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening, October 26, 2012, from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Mr. Mason was the son of the late Highfield Rosser and Lindsey Rosser.
