Mrs. Lena Mae Mason, 96, of Summerville, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Mason was born in Jamestown, Alabama. She was a homemaker. She loved to cook and to do her stitching. She made many beautiful quilts for her family to enjoy. Mrs. Mason had attended Pennville Missionary Alliance Church.

Survivors include her children, James Mason, Henry and Peggy Mason, Janice and Gary Abernathy, Summerville, GA, Johnny and Pam Mason, Alice and Mitch Cothran; Gaylesville, AL; and Mary Ann and Mike Raines, Summerville, GA; brothers and sister-in-law, Max Tucker, Roy and Sue Tucker, Gaylesville, AL; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Sanford DeBerrry and Rev. Carlos Martines officiating. Entombment followed in Greenhills Memory Gardens.

Mrs. Mason was the daughter of the late Joe Issac Tucker and Lula Ann BurgessTucker.

Mrs. Mason was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dwight “Frog” Mason; sister, Carrie Tucker; brothers, Luther Tucker, Frank “Jack” Tucker, and Elbert Tucker.
