Senior Friday begins each week at 10 a.m. at the Cherokee County Public Library. Participants can enjoy games, movies and conversation. If that is your cup of tea, you are welcome to come join your friends at the library!

The Cherokee County Public Library has on ongoing book sale. Get paperbacks for as little as a dime and hardbacks for as little as 50 cents or $1. The library is open today from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Call the library at 256-927-5838 for further information.

Cherokee County Celebrate Recovery offers support groups for chemical dependency, co-dependency, grief, divorce and loved ones of chemical dependency, and much more. Child care available. Call 393-2861 for more information.

Leesburg Haunted House will run through Nov. 3 on Friday and Saturday nights on Lokey Street beside the volunteer fire department. For information on group rates, call 256-526-8228.

In high school football action, Cedar Bluff plays at Spring Garden beginning at 7 p.m., Hokes Bluff plays at Cherokee County beginning at 7 p.m., Gaylesville plays at Donoho beginning at 7 p.m., Ider plays at Sand Rock beginning at 7 p.m, Weaver plays at Piedmont beginning at 7 p.m. and Valley Head plays at Collinsville beginning at 7 p.m.
