The Sand Rock volleyball team claimed the Albertville Tournament over the weekend by going 5-0. The Wildcats defeated Alexandria in the semifinals and beat Geraldine in the finals.

Sand Rock opened pool play against Appalachian and won 25-9, 25-6. The Lady Wildcats then defeated Scottsboro (25-9, 26-24) and Hayden (25-8, 25-7) to set up the matches with Alexandria and Geraldine.
Chelsey Chambers had 96 assists, 25 digs, 5 blocks, and 9 aces in the tournament. Lauren Bell added 43 digs, 5 blocks, 10 assists, 7 kills, and 16 aces. Jennifer Campbell had 49
kills, 22 digs, 7 aces, and 2 blocks. Megan Battles came away with 23 kills, 13 digs,
and 7 blocks. Carrie Robertson finished with 21 kills and Karlie Anderson had 9 kills, 11 digs, 6 aces, and 6 blocks.
