MRS. BARBARA SMITH BRANNON

Mrs. Barbara Smith Brannon, 75, of Allen, Texas, formerly of Jamestown, Alabama, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Presbyterian Allen Hospital. Mrs. Brannon was born in Lafayette, Georgia. She had attended Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Jamestown and prior to retirement was a Bookkeeper for Sears, JC Penney and the Gulf Oil Company.

Mrs. Brannon is survived by her daughters, Tina Brannon of Allen, Texas, Linda Brannon Franklin, Tuscaloosa, brothers, Maurice Smith, Jamestown, Roger Smith, Locust Grove, Geo., four grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Brannon will be held Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Close officiating. Interment will follow in the Moseley Cemetery. Mrs. Brannon will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 – 8 pm. Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late William Henry Smith and Blanche Estelle Evans. Smith.

Mrs. Brannon was preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin Brannon; grandchildren, Garrett Brannon, Collin Brannon; and a sister, Henrietta Fitzpatrick.
