CENTRE – The Cherokee Medical Center Thanksgiving Girls Basketball Tournament will take place Nov. 20, 21 and 23 at the Gadsden State-Cherokee arena in Centre. Cherokee Medical Center and Gadsden Regional Medical Center partnered together to sponsor the premier event that features a talented field of participants.
Joining defending Class 2A state champion Section will be 3A Piedmont, 4A Hokes Bluff, 2A Gaston, 5A Etowah, 3A Saks, 4A Alexandria and 5A Pinson Valley. All but Pinson Valley and Alexandria were regional qualifiers a year ago.
Action begins each day at 2:30 p.m. and continues with games scheduled to tip off at 4:15 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7:45 p.m.
