According to information released from Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, three people were recently arrested after being found in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, Shaver said, received information that a man wanted out of Marshall County, Ala, was staying in the Weiss Lake Motel next to the Weiss Mart Marina in Cedar Bluff. Agents verified the warrants for failing to appear on unlawful manufacturing a controlled substance in the second degree and possession/sell of precursor chemicals against Timothy Michael Hann, 24, of a Union Grove address and went to the motel to locate Hann. Agents confirmed that Hann was staying at the motel. Agents located Hann along with three other individuals inside a room at the motel. Agents also located a quantity of Methamphetamine (ICE) and several items of drug paraphernalia in the room.

Timothy Michael Hann was arrested on the outstanding warrants from Marshall County along with possession of a controlled Substance (Meth) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Michael Lynn West, 38 of a Union Grove address and Christopher Adam Hann, 22 of a Hanceville address were also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (Meth) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Agents also learned that Michael West is currently out on parole for manufacturing a controlled substance in the first degree, Shaver said.

All three are currently being housed at the Cherokee County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
