Madison Smith added 13 points, eight boards, a steal and an assist for the Lady Wildcats (1-1). Madison McCullough contributed nine points, six rebounds, an assist and a steal. Emily Langley finished with five points, two assists and a steal.
Sand Rock trailed until the fourth quarter. The Lady Wildcats were down 13-11 after the first quarter, 22-19 at halftime and 34-33 at the end of three quarters.
Sand Rock went on 23-12 run in the fourth for the final.
The Lady Wildcats play Woodville in the tournament's second round on Friday at 4:30 p.m.
