The Spring Garden Lady Panthers (4-3) moved into the Class 1A girls poll at No. 7 this week. The Lady Panthers will host Area 10 rival Collinsville (6-1) on Friday.
Speaking of Collinsville, it dropped out of this week's poll, but is still among those receiving consideration.
One other Class 1A girls team receiving consideration this week is the Cedar Bluff Lady Tigers (4-4). Cedar Bluff hosts Valley Head on Thursday.
In Class 2A, the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats (4-2) also received consideration for this week's poll. The Lady Wildcats travel to Area 11 foe Gaston on Thursday.
The Piedmont Lady Bulldogs (4-3) held steady at No. 10 in the Class 3A poll, and the Cherokee County Lady Warriors (7-2) remained at No. 8 in the Class 4A rankings. Piedmont hosts Area 10 rival Saks on Thursday. The Lady Warriors host Saks on Monday.
In the boys rankings, two Class 1A, Area 10 teams saw movement, while a third received consideration. Collinsville (3-1), coming off its 46-44 victory on Tuesday against Cedar Bluff, moved up two places to No. 4 this week. Cedar Bluff (3-2) dropped from No. 2 to No. 8.
Collinsville travels to Spring Garden (3-1), which received consideration for this week's poll, on Friday. Cedar Bluff hosts Valley Head on Thursday.
