CEDAR BLUFF — Jake Bevels hit a game-winning two-run single in the bottom of the seventh inning give Cedar Bluff a two-game sweep of Collinsville in 1A, Area 12 play on Friday.

Bevels’ hit scored Jim Nelson and Lance Estes to give the Tigers a 7-6 win in game two of the doubleheader. Levi Mintz got the win on the mound for Cedar Bluff in game one by the final of 13-3.

Nelson had two hits, including a double, for the Tigers (10-8, 5-0). Estes added a double. Romando Williams and Luke Richardson each had a hit and an RBI in game two.

In game one, Curtis Abernathy had three hits and two RBI as Cedar Bluff rolled, 13-3. Norton had two hits and drove in two, while Seth Gordon had two hits and one RBI.

Nelson drove in a pair on one hit and earned the win on the mound. Oakes added a hit and a RBI.

Cedar Bluff 8, Collinsville 3

COLLINSVILLE — Curtis Abernathy pitched a complete game for Cedar Bluff as the Tigers defeated Collinsville 8-3 on Thursday.

Abernathy allowed just five hits and struck out seven and added two RBI at the plate.

Jake Bevels went 3 for 4 with a triple and double for Cedar Bluff (8-8, 3-0), Jim Nelson went 2 of 4 with a home run and double, Austin McCullough was 2 for 3 with an RBI, while Kyle Beck went 2 for 2 with an RBI.

Cedar Bluff 24-28, Jacksonville Christian. 1-4

JACKSONVILLE — Cedar Bluff swept a doubleheader with Jacksonville Christian on Saturday.

Austin McCullough got the win in game one and Lot Maxwell was the winning pitcher in the second game.

Zach Taylor went 2 for 3 with two RBI and led Tiger batters in game one. Romando Williams went 2 for 4 with two RBI. Rickey Pendley went 2 for 3 with one RBI and Garrett Crane went 1 for 3 with one RBI.

Taylor also led Cedar Bluff (12-8) at the plate in game two, going 4 for 4 with three RBI. Levi Mintz went 3 for 3 with one RBI and Pendley went 2 for 3 with one RBI.

Hokes Bluff 10, Sand Rock 0

SAND ROCK — Three different players hit home runs as No. 4 Hokes Bluff beat Sand Rock, 10-0 on Saturday. Russell Addison had a pair of solo home runs, Chase Handy had one and Garrason Humphries had a two-run homer against the Wildcats (9-6).

Brennan Hood and Taylor Shields both added two hits for the Eagles (13-2).

Spring Garden 17-22, Gaylesville 0-5

GAYLESVILLE — Spring Garden rolled past Gaylesville in a doubleheader Thursday, taking game one 17-0 and game two 22-5.

Jake Scott allowed only three hits to earn the win in game one. Andrew Maddox led the Panthers at the plate with four hits and six RBI. Reece Johnson added three hits and scored a pair of runs, while Tyler Messer had two hits and three RBI. Cory Anderson had a home run and scored four times.

In game two, Tyler Smart picked up the win, allowing just three hits. Scott went 3 for 4 with three RBI and Anderson had two hits and drove in two. Tyler Messer had three hits and two RBI and Ryan Messer had a hit and scored a run.
