Mr. John Hampton Jr, 88 of Cedar Bluff passed away Sunday, January 13, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Hampton was a native of Oxford, Ohio and was an army veteran. He was a member of the Church Of God.

Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J. L. Stanley officiating . Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. Survivors include sons, Bruce (Jennifer)Hampton of Gadsden, Don (Rosie) Shinkle of Loveland, Ohio, John “Bo” Shinkle of Leesburg, daughters, Linda (Barney)Lowe of Jamestown and Mary (Mike)Terrell of Munice, Indiana, eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews; a host of family and friends.

Mr. Hampton was preceded in death by his wife, Trudy Hampton; a special grandson, Kenny Lowe and a great-grandson Conner Terrell. He was also preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Mr. Hampton was the son of the late John and Lucy Samantha Johnson Hampton, Sr.
