Little River Canyon National Preserve will present Plants: Love Them, Love Them Not at the Little River Canyon Center on February 9, 2013 from 10 AM to 11 AM. This free program will feature some of the special and beautiful species of flowering plants from Little River Canyon and some of the exotic invading species of plants which make life miserable for the native species. Have you ever played this game with a daisy: loves me, loves me not? Many of the daisies found at Little River Canyon are not native. Learn to recognize some of our native and non-native flowers. Invasive exotic plants are on the move and may be in your neighborhood. Changes in weather patterns and a worldwide trade of seeds create a perfect opportunity for some plants to move into your yards, gardens and forests. Park Superintendent Gail Bishop and Canyon Center Director Pete Conroy invite the public to come out and enjoy the day at the Little River Canyon Center for these free special events.
