Mr. Robert Reese Weeks, 76, of Rome, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013, in a Rome Medical Center. Mr. Weeks was born in Cherokee County. He was a member of Wilkerson Road Baptist Church, Adult Sunday School Class, and Church Choir. Mr. Weeks was retired from Temple-Inland after 33 years of service. He had been employed by the Rome Braves for the past 4 years.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 22, 2013 at Wilkerson Road Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Sisson and Rev. Barry McCullough officiating. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Grdens. The family will recive frinds from 6 until 8 pm on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Parnick Jennings, Sr.'s Good Shepherd Funeral Home. Mr. Weeks will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Shelby Prater Weeks, children; Diane (Jack) Adkins, Clarksville, Tennessee, Mack (Amy) Weeks, Rome, Tyde Weeks, Rome, brothers; Charles (Jerry) Weeks, Rome, Doyle (Janet) Weeks, Centre, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Weeks was preceded in death by a daughter, Robbie Weeks Roberts, and a brother, Billy Weeks.

Mr. Weeks was the son of late Cliffor Weeks, and Myrtle Reese Weeks.
