Ms. Chrystal Michelle Slayton, 35 of Piedmont passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013. Ms. Slayton was a native of Cherokee County and was of the holiness faith.

A Memorial service for Ms. Slayton will be held 4 pm Monday, February 25, 2013 at Mt. Olive Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Smith officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family. Perry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.perryfuneral.net.

Ms. Slayton is survived by her sons; Chase Slayton, Isaiah Mills, and Isaac Mills, parents; Eddie Slayton, Mother; Lovella and Ronnie Morris, brother; Chris Slayton, sisters; Stephanie and David Benefield, Bridgette and Robert Abernathy, several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, a great–neece, and special friend Jamie Ball.
