SAND ROCK – Sand Rock’s Perry Stevens pitched five scoreless innings Thursday, giving up just two hits with nine strikeouts in a 4-0 baseball victory over visiting Spring Garden Thursday in the Tri-County Tournament.

Austin Chambers scored the Wildcats’ (1-1) a run in the first inning to give Sand Rock a 1-0 lead.

Sand Rock tacked on three more runs in the fourth. Zane Farrar singled home Ethan Jimmerson, who reached on a double. Austin Carver delivered a two-run single that brought home Dylan Mackey, who reached on a walk, and Farrar.

Sand Rock travels to Ranburne on Monday.
