EXCELLENT AUDIT REPORT. Todd Hindsman with Hindsman-David P.C. gave the yearly audit report during a recent meeting of the Cedar Bluff Town Council and “the town received an unqualified opinion which the highest rating that an accounting firm can give”.

The Cedar Bluff Town Council Meeting was held on Monday, March 11 at 5:30 pm with all Council Members present.

Todd Hindsman with Hindsman-David P.C. gave the yearly audit report and said “the town received an unqualified opinion which the highest rating that an accounting firm can give”.

The bids for cutting the trees on the causeway are due by April 1, 2013.

Mayor Martha Baker announced that the sidewalk drainage issue at 3765 Old Hwy 9 has been completed.

Frank Wright was introduced as a new member of the Cedar Bluff Planning Commission.

The Council passed Resolution 2013-01 and 2013-02 in reference to the addition and removal of members of the Cedar Bluff Utilities Board. The present active members of this board are: Donald Sanders, Ken Blair, Cindy Early, Eugene Mann, and Linda Picklesimer.

In other business the council:

· Passed a motion to rescind the curfew ordinance passed in 1996 since it cannot be enforced.

· Approved Brian Penland to serve on the Cedar Bluff Volunteer Fire Department

· Accepted the Police Department report, the Fire Department Report, and building inspector report for February 2013.

Council member Tammy Crane discussed the possibility of having a concert at Cedar Bluff High School to help promote Liberty Day

The next scheduled planning meeting of the Cedar Bluff Town Council will be March 25, at 4:30 p.m.
