SPRING GARDEN – The Sand Rock Lady Wildcats (34-4) nabbed the top seed in this year’s Cherokee County Volleyball Tournament, hosted by Spring Garden on Saturday.

Sand Rock, along with Cherokee County, Cedar Bluff and Gaylesville, will try and end Spring Garden’s recent dominance of the tournament. The Lady Panthers have claimed the last four county crowns.

The double-elimination tournament begins at 9 a.m., as Cedar Bluff squares off with Gaylesville. The winner of that match will take on the top-seeded Lady Wildcats at 10 a.m.

Cherokee County takes on Spring Garden at 11 a.m. The loser from that match will take on the loser from Cedar Bluff-Gaylesville at noon.

The tournament champion will be crowned in a 4 p.m. match if one team remains undefeated. If there is no undefeated team, the tournament championship will be held at 5 p.m.
