Three charged with trafficking in meth following weekend raid

On Saturday, Aug. 15, the Cherokee County Narcotics Unit executed a search Warrant at 580 Park St. in Leesburg, Ala. he Sheriff, Chief Deputy, sheriff's office lieutenant, investigators and deputies from the sheriff's office along with the Chief and Officers from Leesburg PD, and Investigators from the DA's Office participated in the Search Warrant.

Agents seized a large quantity of crystal meth (ice) along with money, vehicles, four wheelers, motorcycles, utility trailers, a Bobcat loader, electronic's, documents, yard work equipment (mowers, weedeaters), and digital scales.



Agents had been getting information of the Drug activity and conducted and investigation culminating in the search of the residence and property and the arrest of therr suspects.

Arrested, according to reports, were:

-Thomas Herman Jordan, 36, of Leesburg

-Jonathan Lang McKnight,39, of Sand Rock, Ala.

-Stephen Phillip Baker, 35, of Centre



The Narcotics Unit has made from 20 to 25 Drug Cases a month since the first of the Year.
