Sand Rock volleyball team outlasts Geraldine

SAND ROCK – The Sand Rock Lady Wildcats remain unbeaten on the season, thanks to battling back to take a match against Class 2A, Area 10 rival Geraldine Thursday. The scores were 16-25, 25-19, 19-25, 25-20 and 15-1.

Jennifer Campbell led the way for Sand Rock (5-0) with 18 kills and 16 digs. Logan Smith had 39 assists and three aces. Megan Battles added 10 kills and four aces. Carrie Robertson had eight kills and 16 digs. Gena Farmer and Kayla Mashburn came away with 13 and 15 digs respectively. Karlie Anderson finished with seven kills and four blocks.

Sand Rock next plays in the Albertville Tournament on Saturday.
