Cedar Bluff Town Council at it's regular monthly meeting approved an ordinance to replace 4-way stop signs at Boundary Avenue and Broad Street, Grove and Cross Streets, and Mechanic and Cross Streets.

Ben Marcus has been visiting all the municipalities and all have been receptive and supportive to his county maps. Cedar Bluff agreed to have Marcus make the county maps for another year. Some citizens expressed concern over whether or not the maps will be updated and Marcus assured the council and citizens that updates were being made and asked everyone to let him know of any mistakes.

One of the more exciting items of business was the possibility of Cedar Bluff's cable television system finally improving. Davis stated that he has always had complaints about the cable in Cedar Bluff, probably more than the other utilities combined.

Cedar Bluff's cable was one of the first put in many years ago through a different company. It was an old system with small channel capabilities. With the new set-up from Charter Digital Direct, programming will be unlimited.

The meeting was ended with a reception at the Senior Center for retiring Police Chief Clark Combs and retiring Utilities Superintendent Charles Johnson. They were presented with plaques of appreciation for their many years of faithful service to the town of Cedar Bluff
