Although the Town of Leesburg’s annual fall festival is referred to as one day, the event’s schedule actually spans a 96-hour period.

The 15th Annual Leesburg Day’s main activities are set for Saturday, but the fun gets started tonight at 6:30 p.m., when local church choirs will perform a singing under the town pavilion.

On Thursday at the Leesburg Ballpark, the Leesburg Homemakers Club will sponsor a cow-chipping contest.

Come out and get an eyeful of some local “beauties” on Friday at 7 p.m., as the always-popular “Womanless Beauty Pageant” takes over the town pavilion at 7 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Leesburg Volunteer Fire Department.

All of the above merely set the table for Saturday, as vendors, games, rides, food, and lots of activities will be available in and around the pavilion beginning at 8 a.m..

Headlining the entertainment is the locally based “Restless Band,” whose line-up features Leesburg’s Jonathan Alverson, Danny Alverson, Terry Nichols and Kim Nichols; Centre’s Tony O’Neal and Fort Payne’s Greg Anthony.

Also providing musical accompaniment is Jeff Boyer’s Karaoke Show.
