Jeff Morgan, commander, Cherokee County Drug Task Force, said the eradication took place Tuesday, May 18 through Friday, May 21, in the southern portion of the county. Many of the plants, ranging in size from one foot to seven feet tall, were spotted via helicopter.
This latest eradication was a joint effort of the Cherokee County Drug Task Force, Alabama Bureau of Investigation, and local reserve deputies. Morgan reported that the operation went smoothly. No arrests have been made at this time
