At its July 12 meeting, the Sand Rock Town Council approved a motion re-naming Co. Rd. 341 “Three Cedars Road.”
The name change was done for county EMA-911 purposes following the road's recent annexation.
In a related matter, the council approved a motion to order HAZMAT suits for the town volunteer fire department in conjunction with the county EMA-911 Board.
Mayor Kenny Beck announced that the town and the county Board of Education recently had signed an agreement that allowed for an easement in the Sand Rock School waterline project along Wildcat St.
Beck reported that Gary Phillips had agreed to re-locate the Town Hall sign to the building’s side parking lot.
Beck said that he had ordered replacement street signs for Mountain View Ave.
Before adjournment, Beck announced that James and Joanne Miller are the new Sand Rock Citgo owners, and encouraged all area residents to patronize the above business
