Leesburg officially has $900,000 at its disposal for the coming fiscal year.

At its Oct. 4 meeting, the Leesburg Town Council approved the above figure as the town’s 2004-05 budget.

In other business, the council voted by a 4-2 margin approving a five-percent across-the-board raise for all town employees.

District Judge Sheri Carver swore in Mayor Ed Mackey and 2004-08 council members Dianne Tillery, Wayne Byrum, Billy Ransum, Brandy Pierce and Frankie Brewster.

The council re-appointed Terrell Ransum as Police Chief and Jennifer Sharpe as Town Clerk.

The council also approved a motion appointing Kevin Ford to the E-10 Board.

Mackey reported that the town recently had received $5,300 in grant money for the town park pavilion repair project
