At its Oct. 4 Sand Rock Town Council meeting, Circuit Judge Kevin Grimes swore in Mayor Bill Glenn and council members Saprina Oliver, Bud Brock, Chris St. Clair, Judy Beck and Ricky Mackey.
In other business, the council re-appointed Randy Smith, James Dorsett and Barbara Tiller y to the East Alabama Planning Commission Zoning Committee.
The council also voted to allow the local Girl Scouts/Brownie troop to meet at the Town Hall every first and third Monday of each month.
The council approved respective motions for Glenn to be added to the town’s checking account at Farmers & Merchants Bank and to allow Picture Perfect Landscaping to replace the shrubbery around the Town Hall.
Before adjournment, Oliver announced that the next council meeting is scheduled for Oct. 18 at 6:30 p.m
