Arrested, according to reports, was Johnny Tremaine Martin, 31. Cherokee County Sheriff Larry Wilson said Martin was arrested following a March 16 incident with several students. The sheriff’s department got warrants for Martin this week after a three month investigation and Martin reportedly turned himself in at the Cherokee County Detention Center.

The Cherokee County Board of Education voted to terminate Martin as a bus driver during a recent board of education meeting. Ten Gaylesville students met with the board of education for disciplinary hearings earlier in the week.
