At its May 2 meeting, the Leesburg Town Council agreed to hold the event on Sept. 10 instead of Sept. 17.
Mayor Ed Mackey explained that the town didn’t want to interfere with the annual KTH-Leesburg company picnic.
In other business, the council voted to spend an additional $4,500 on Leesburg Ball Park parking lot paving project.
The council also approved a motion allowing the town to pursue the matter of a municipal nuisance ordinance.
The council accepted an offer from Sand Rock Boy Scout Troop 180 that would have the group perform community service projects.
The council voted to make its annual contribution to the local Relay for Life committee.
Before adjournment, Mackey reported that the town had installed two lights at the Leesburg Landing RV Park, and that several campers had expressed satisfaction with the present lighting conditions
