A three-day weekend awaits most as the Fourth of July is next Monday,
That will bring many closings especially of city, county, state and federal government agencies.
City/Town Halls in Cedar Bluff, Centre, Gaylesville, Leesburg and Sand Rock will be closed Monday. However, Cedar Bluff garbage pickup will be as scheduled. Centre’s garbage route scheduled for Monday will be picked up on Tuesday.The Cherokee County Courthouse and Cherokee County Adminis-tration Building Offices will be close closed. Leesburg will hold its scheduled monthly town council meeting on July 11 instead of the first Monday of the month.
The Herald will be closed Monday. Because of the holiday, deadlines for the July 6 edition of The Herald will be noon Thursday for advertising and editorial copy.

Fireworks on Sunday
Pruett’s Fish Camp on Cherokee County Road 22 will be having its Annual Fireworks Show this Sunday, July 3, beginning at 9 p.m. over Weiss Lake.
On Saturday, July 2, Pruett’s will host a Gospel Singing beginning at 7:30 p.m. featuring the Christianaires of Collins-ville.
Everyone is invited to attend.
