Cherokee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested three people on drug charges following execution of a consent search on County Road 300 near the Georgia and Cleburne County line Tuesday afternoon.

According to reports, officers executed the warrant at the Janice Shell residence. Arrested were Shell, 44, who was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine, a felony charge, a misdemeanor charge of unlawful possession of marijuana in the second degree and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia; Jay Maxwell, 29 of Kenston Ga., who was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, ecstasy, and unlawful possession of marijuana in the first degree, both felony charges, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and Miranda Watts, 22, of Cedartown, Ga., who was charged with a felony count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, ecstasy, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and a misdemeanor charge of unlawful possession of marijuana in the second degree
