In a special-called meeting Monday, Nov. 29, the Cherokee County Board of Education voted to place a student in the Alternative School for the remainder of the school year.

Board members agreed to the above measures following a disciplinary hearing. The board will review the placement at the end of the year.

The board also discussed possible make-up dates for Wednesday, Nov. 24, when school was cancelled because of threatening weather. The board should decide on a possible make-up date within the next few weeks
