Local citizens are urged to come out for Centre’s 29th Annual Fall Festival scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1, from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m., along Main Street in Centre.

For those who wish to whet their appetites, Centre Middle School will host a Pancake Breakfast first thing.

Local children can fuel themselves for the Kids Fun Run, scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Checkin time is 7:30 a.m.

This year’s categories include ages 4 and 5; ages 6 and 7; ages 8 and 9, ages 10 and 11.

The Annual Fall Festival Parade, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., will include the Cherokee County High School Band, horses, buggies, antique cars and antique tractors.

Other children’s activities will include a Kids Fun Run, a train and moonwalk and slides.

JB Music will provide a live disc jockey. Other entertainment will include Gospel, church, country singing by local groups.

A special singing by The Robin Sings is scheduled from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m.

Refreshments will be provided by Centre Fire Department and Centre Civitan Club. And there will be numerous other vendors as well.
