Junior Reese said he was on the dock at the state marina on Alabama 9 between Centre and Cedar Bluff when the boat caught fire. The boat's owner was onboard and attempting to restart the motor when there was an explosion.
Reese said he was ready to get onboard when the explosion occurred.
Firefighters from Centre Fire Department were dousing the blaze from the roadway
