Emergency blood supplies always run low over the holidays," according to Tracy Morris, Red Cross Regional Blood Services Coordinator. "We urge everyone who is eligible to donate blood to give the gift of life this Christmas by dropping by the county administration building between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., on Thursday."
Red Cross blood donors during the months of December and January will automatically be registered in a state-wide drawing for a 7-day cruise and two round-trip airline tickets courtesy of Delta Airlines.
Prospective blood donors must be at least 17 years old, in generally good health, weigh at least 110 lbs., be able to present a picture ID or prior blood donor card, and not have donated blood in the previous 56 days
