Arrested, according to reports, were Dorothy Louise Simpson, 55, and Kenneth Allen Ayers, 58, both of Centre, who were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine in the first degree, unlawful possession of controlled substances-methamphetamine and unlawful possession of marijuana in the second degree.
Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver said the arrests were the result of a lengthy investigation by the sheriffs department. Deputies seized a meth lab and ingredients and a quantity of marijuana.
The sheriffs department along with the Alabama Beverage and Control (Officers) remained on the scene for several hours cleaning and processing the site
