The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit discovered a methamphetamine lab and chemicals and ingredients used to manufacture methamphetamine Friday night.

The agents of the Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at the residence of Henry Richard Keith at 2603 C.R. 41 in Gaylesville.

Agents also seized a quantity of methamphetamine from the resident.

Keith was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine in the first degree and unlawful possession of methamphetamine.

Agents were on the scene until early Saturday morning collecting and securing hazardous chemicals that were transported by the Haz-Mat team from the DEA
