Sprouse has been active in local affairs since moving to Cedar Bluff almost 20 years ago. She was elected to the Town Council in 2000 and has received her Advanced Certified Municipal Official designation. She attended the Congress of Cities Conference in Washington, D.C., in 2006 and attended the Vision 13 Leadership training program sponsored this year by Sen. Kim Benefield.
Because of my background, I am uniquely qualified for this position and would like the opportunity to serve you. I offer the voters someone with the experience, training and energy to do the job, Sprouse said.
If elected your mayor, I will represent the people of Cedar Bluff with honesty, integrity and dignity, she said. I believe in an open door policy with decisions based on what is best for all the people of Cedar Bluff.
Sprouse is a charter member and past president of the Cedar Bluff Civitan Club, member and past treasurer of the Centre Rotary Club, Rotarian of the Year 2002-03 and member of the Cherokee Chamber of Commerce.
She serves on the board of the Cherokee Humane Society and the Cedar Bluff Utilities and Waste Authority. She is a member of Cedar Bluff United Methodist Church.
Before moving to Cedar Bluff, Sprouse attended Kennesaw State College and majored in business administration. As president and chief operating officer of her own company, she gained experience in marketing, planning, budgeting and personnel management
