Sand Rock opened the basketball season recently with wins over Cedar Bluff. The Wildcats emerged a 63-49 victory while the Lady Wildcats beat the Lady Tigers 74-23. In other boys' games last week, Sand Rock bested Westbrook Christian 48-31, Cherokee County edged Crossville 50-48, Gaylesville lost to Ragland 61-52 and Appalachian 82-68, Collinsville beat Cedar Bluff 65-49 and Spring Garden 77-57, and Spring Garden fell to Donoho 68-38. In other girls' action, Cedar Bluff beat Collinsville 45-38, Spring Garden ripped Collinsville 55-37 and Donoho 61-21, Sand Rock topped Westbrook Christian 50-41 and West End 62-58, Cherokee County held off Crossville 51-42 and Gaylesville lost to Ragland 65-29
