After an outstanding two years as the star setter for the school volleyball team, Cherokee County High School senior Jenni Trammell recently signed a athletic scholarship to Central Alabama Community College in Alexander City.

Joining Jenni at the signing in the CCHS library were parents Paul and Frankie, Jenni's grandparents, volleyball coach Jon Moseley, CACC coach Miranda Deerman, principal Jayne Davis and Trammel's volleyball teammates and classmates.

We're all very proud of Jenni's accomplishments at CCHS, and proud of her scholarship," said Davis. "She was a great setter for us the last two years."

"I'm very excited, because I always wanted to play college volleyball," said Jenni. "This also gives me the opportunity to go to a good four year school after I graduate from CACC. I really want to thank everyone who supported me at Cherokee County - my family, teachers, coach Moseley, my teammates and my friends. I'll play my best and make everyone proud of me."

"Frankie and I are very proud of Jenni's success," said dad Paul (Shorty) Trammel. "She really had a passion for volleyball, through club, middle school and high school. We're both looking forward to her career at CACC."

Miranda Deerman, CACC head volleyball coach, is excited to have Jenni on the team roster.

"I've had my eye on Jenni since her junior season. I played setter in school, so she'll fit in with our system. I worked really hard to get her, and I'm certainly thrilled that she choose CACC. She'll be an immediate asset to our program. She's had some very good coaching from Jon Moseley, and that gives her an advantage over some of our other new players.
