Spring Garden had to go an extra game to win the 1A Section 5 championship. After beating Talladega County Central 15-3 and Woodland 8-2, the Lady Panthers lost to Woodland 11-10 to set up a deciding game with Woodland, which Spring Garden won 15-13.
Sand Rock took runnerup honors in 2A, Section 7 with a win over Crossville 14-0 before losing to Geraldine 5-4 and 12-5.
Gaylesville was knocked out of the 1A Section 6 tournament with two straight losses
