After a tough loss last Friday at the hands of Jacksonville Christian, Gaylesville suffered a 79-56 defeat to Cedar Bluff on Saturday.

The Tigers’ Brandon Langley scored 33 points and grabbed 17 rebounds.

The Trojans’ Chris Steele scored 23 points.

The first period predicted the game to be very close when the Trojans trailed 16-13.

Langley proved to be a star player from the beginning, scoring all of Cedar Bluff’s in the first period.

Cedar Bluff’s Ray Flynt showed some talent in the second period, scoring three of his four 3-pointers.

A pair of three pointers from Maddrick Long in the second quarter contributed to the Tigers’ 40-26 lead over Gaylesville at halftime.

The third period didn’t help Gaylesville too much, as Cedar Bluff put an even larger gap between the two teams and went into the fourth period leading 60-34.

The Trojans did fight hard in the fourth period to get back into the game.



hris Steele scored 15 points in the final quarter, as he hit two 3-pointers and Casey Blankenship nailed one.
