Cherokee County won its seventh straight area title on Oct. 18 at Glencoe.

The Lady Warriors swept the host Lady Yellow Jackets, 24-14, 25-11 in the Class 3A, Area 12 championship match.

CCHS earlier beat Glencoe, 25-9, 25-9, 25-5.

Cherokee Co. hosts the Class 3A, Region C Tournament on Saturday at the Centre First Baptist Recreational Outreach Center with Glencoe, J.B. Pennington, Ohatchee, Weaver, Springville, Locust Fork and Hokes Bluff.

Tournament MVP Anna Kisor collected 21 assists, eight kills and four aces.

The Lady Warriors’ Hally Starr (17 kills) and Whitney Bowers (nine assists, five kills) joined Kisor on the All-Tournament team.

Glencoe’s Brandy Gamblin and Jamie Barber and Sardis’ Whitney Morton also made the All-Tournament team
