A buzzer-beating basket allowed White Plains to escape with a 51-49 victory over Spring Garden last Friday in boys basketball action.

For the Panthers (0-1), Josh Humphrey and Cliff Highfield each scored 11 points, while Matt Jennings added 10.

Humphrey also came up with four steals.

Josh Chapman led the host Wildcats with 23 points
