An 8-1 overtime run overtime sparked the Cherokee Co. girls to a 45-38 victory over Class 5A Gadsden on Jan. 10.

The Lady Warriors (16-2, 4-1) led 22-10 after one period, 29-23 at halftime and 31-27 after three quarters before the Lady Tigers rallied for a 37-37 tie at the end of regulation.

Hally Wright led CCHS with 17 points, followed by Anna Kisor with 10, Rachel Kennerly with nine and Whitney Bowers with eight.

Kisor and Bowers each pulled down six rebounds, while Kennerly grabbed four.

Wright and Kisor each distributed four assists.

Bowers came up with four steals, while Wright had three
