Last Thursday, the Cherokee Co. girls finished off their regular season with a 60-43 victory over Alexandria in Centre.

The Lady Warriors (21-6, 6-2) led 18-4 after one period, 32-11 at halftime and 48-25 after three quarters.

“Seniors Anna Kisor, Whitney Bowers and Rachel Kennerly played well on Senior Night,” said CCHS head coach Neal Barker. “We jumped out to early lead and kept it there. We opened the second half with good team defense, and that put the game away.”

Kisor scored 14 points, followed by Bowers with 10, Anissa Anglin and Holly Wright with nine each and Kennerly and Mimi Williams with eight each.

Wright distributed six assists, while Kisor and Kennerly each grabbed five rebounds.
