Sand Rock fell to 14-5 following the Class 2A No. 3 Lady Wildcats’ loss to Crossville on Sept. 19.

Sand Rock opened with a 25-23 win before the Lady Lions closed out the match with victories of 22-25, 22-25, 21-25.

“We played decently, but not well enough to win,” said Sand Rock head coach Lisa Bates. “We got out-hustled, and [Crossville] wanted it more.”

For the Lady Wildcats, Angelique Kordich had 16 kills, followed by Taylor Burt with 12 and Ashley Beck with eight.

Kordich also served 21 times without a miss.

Chelsey Chambers distributed 33 assists, while Beck had four blocks.

Amy Crane came up with 10 digs, followed by Burt and Hope Robertson with five each
