The Cherokee County softball team improved to 16-7, 1-1 with a 13-0 shutout over Class 4A, Area 13 opponent North Jackson on Apr. 16 at CCHS.

In five innings, winning pitcher Kara Bomian struck out six while allowing one hit. She helped her cause with four RBIs.

Also at the plate for the Lady Warriors, Kaitlyn Griffith had three RBIs and three runs scored, while Lauren Millsaps collected three hits and three runs scored.

Rachel Hale and Laura Rochester each had two RBIs, while Anissa Anglin finished with an RBI and two runs scored
