Spring Garden won the Class 1A, Area 10 volleyball tournament title in convincing fashion on Oct. 15, as the host Lady Panthers (39-6) swept Asbury 25-11, 25-2, 25-4, in the championship match.

It was the team’s seventh straight area title.

Spring Garden travels to Gaston on Saturday for the Region C Tournament. The Lady Panthers face Area 12 runner-up St. Bernard at 11:15 a.m.

For the Lady Panthers, Tara Mullinax had 12 kills, while Paige Anderson added 10.

Hannah Hutcheson distributed 21 assists.

Shelby Malone served up five aces, followed by Hutcheson with four and Anderson with three
