Two arrested on drug charges following raid in Gaylesville

Local law enforcement agents arrested two people on drug charges following execution of a search warrant at a Gaylesville residence Thursday afternoon, Dec. 10.



Arrested, according to Mark Hicks, public information officer, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department, were Pamela Dawn McPherson, 51, who was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, manufacturing a controlled substance in the second degree, non-support and failure to pay on charge of driving with suspended license and Robert Anthony Duisen, 27, who was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and manufacturing a controlled substance in the second degree.

The Cherokee County Narcotics Unit along with the Sheriff and Officers from the Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at the residence of McPherson and Duisen on Dec. 10. Thee residence was located in the Broomtown area of the county, at 2420 County Road 46 Gaylesville Ala. 35973, Hicks said.

Agents obtained the search warrant was following an investigation that had began with information coming from concerned citizens living in the area. They executed the search warrant was executed around 3 p.m. Two people were found at the residence along with evidence of drugs and drug use and drugs being manufactured at the residence. Both people found at the residence were arrested and transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center. Both will be held until they appear before a Judge for a Bond Hearing, Hicks said.
