Arrested, according the Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, was Ben Harry Morris, 43, who was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Morris' address was listed as 365 County Road 77, Gaylesville, Ala. 35973.
According to Shaver, the Cherokee County Narcotics Unit seized a large quantity of drugs (Crystal Methamphetamine), a .32 caliber handgun, a large quantity of cash and a set of scales. Some of the drugs were packaged for resale and a large amount was bagged in a clear plastic bag.
