Both teams scored two runs in the second inning. Westbrook, playing as the visitor in the nightcap, had back-to-back leadoff home runs by Matthew Reaves and Jake King before exiting the inning with the bases loaded.
Sand Rock came right back to tie the game. Chris Terrell led off the frame by being hit by a pitch. Norris followed with a single that sent Terrell to third base. Chad Thompson earned an RBI with a bunt single that Westbrook pitcher Barr Miller elected to throw back to the catcher, trying to get the out at home. The second run scored when Austin Carver hit into an apparent fielders' choice that was misplayed, allowing Thompson to score from second.
In the third, Westbrook’s Chase Saunders led off with a double and scored on a single by Reaves.
The Warriors won the first game, 10-0, in six innings.
It was a scoreless contest until the third inning, which saw Westbrook put three runs on the board, courtesy of a leadoff home run by Chad Sharp and a Reaves double.
